Answers to common questions about using LinguaTrackr. Use the search below or browse by category.
Getting started
LinguaTrackr is a progress tracker for immersion-based language learners. You log what you do — listening, reading, speaking, writing — and the dashboard turns that data into trends, streaks, and analytics. It does not teach languages; it helps you measure and review the effort you are already putting in.
Sign in and go to the Languages page in the dashboard sidebar. Click Add language, search for the language you want, select your starting level, and confirm. The language will appear in your dashboard and you can start logging sessions against it immediately.
Click New Session in the dashboard. Select the language, activity type (listening, reading, speaking, or writing), enter the duration in minutes, and optionally add a difficulty rating and notes. You can also use the built-in stopwatch timer to auto-fill duration while you study.
XP and levels
You earn 0.2 XP for every minute you log. XP accumulates across all languages you track. The five levels — Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, Expert, and Master — correspond to the total immersion hour benchmarks commonly referenced in input-based learning communities. See the /levels page for the full breakdown.
Master level requires 120,000 XP, which is equivalent to 10,000 hours of logged study time. This is a long-term reference point. Intermediate starts at roughly 2,000 hours and Advanced at 5,000. Your current level and XP progress are visible in the dashboard sidebar.
Sessions
Yes. Go to History in the dashboard, find the session, and click the edit button. You can update the language, activity type, duration, difficulty, date, and notes. Sessions can also be archived rather than deleted if you want to keep them out of analytics without losing the record.
Dashboard data is cached for performance. After logging a session the cache is invalidated, but it can take a few seconds for the new data to propagate. Try refreshing the page. If the session still does not appear after a minute, check the History page directly — sessions are written immediately to the database.
Languages
On the Languages page, click the delete button next to the language you want to remove. You will be given the option to archive the associated sessions or leave them in place. Removing a language removes it from your active dashboard but does not delete your session history unless you choose to.
LinguaTrackr supports over 100 languages. Because the tracker is content-agnostic — you log time and activity type, not lessons — any language you can study through immersion can be tracked. See /available-languages for the full list.
Plans and data
The free plan includes unlimited language and session logging, streak and calendar views, goals, activity breakdowns, and the dashboard analytics. There is no time limit on the free plan.
Pro adds deeper analytics (rolling averages, advanced activity distribution, best study time breakdowns), and full data export to CSV or JSON. See /pricing for current plan details.
Data export is available on the Pro plan. You can download your complete session history as CSV or JSON from the Data Export page in the dashboard at any time.

Your account and all associated data can be deleted from within your profile settings. On desktop, click the profile icon in the top-right corner and navigate to Security.
