Why LinguaTrackr

A structured system for immersion learners

LinguaTrackr does not teach languages directly. It gives input-heavy learners a calm, reliable way to measure effort, spot patterns, and keep momentum. You keep control of visibility and exports.

Log real immersion

Track books, podcasts, films, tutor calls, and writing sessions in the same workflow, so your data reflects how you actually learn.

See what is changing

Turn raw minutes, pages, and sessions into clear trend lines that show consistency, volume, and activity balance over time.

Stay focused with evidence

Replace guesswork with measured progress, so motivation comes from visible improvement instead of streak gimmicks.

Privacy and portability

Your account is private by default. Share a public profile only if you want to. Pro unlocks one-click CSV and JSON export of your complete session history for backups or your own spreadsheets.

What a week of logging can look like

Illustrative snapshots only—not live community data. Real accounts stay private unless someone turns on a public profile.

Data Entry

Log reality, not lessons.

Course-based learning platforms dictate what you learn and when. Real language acquisition happens when you consume native media—podcasts, novels, conversations, and articles. LinguaTrackr provides a frictionless interface to quickly record exactly what you did, tagging the modality, source, and duration without interrupting your flow.

How it works

A simple loop that compounds over time

LinguaTrackr supports the discipline behind immersion methods by helping you translate daily activity into concrete feedback.

1.

Log your exposure daily

Capture minutes listened, pages read, conversations held, and writing output in under a minute.

2.

Review patterns weekly

Use trends and distributions to understand where your effort is going and what is slipping.

3.

Adjust your next week

Set realistic targets from your own data so your plan stays sustainable and measurable.

Free tool

Immersion pace calculator

No account needed. Enter how much you already study, pick a cumulative-time milestone (same scale as LinguaTrackr’s level bands), and your usual pace. We estimate how long it would take to reach that milestone at a steady rate.

This is a rough planning aid only—not a promise about real-world fluency. Level bands here are notional study-time benchmarks inside the app, not CEFR certificates.

Your usual pace

Roughly about 9 months to reach the Intermediate band at 315 min/week.

About 200 hours of study left on this scale (12,000 minutes).

What you can log

Real activities, consistent units, clear visibility

Track the same categories immersion learners use every day and compare them over weeks and months without manual spreadsheets.

Listening

Podcasts, films, audiobooks, and passive exposure

Primary metric: Minutes logged

Reading

Books, articles, manga, and subtitles

Primary metric: Pages and sessions

Speaking

Tutor calls, language exchange, shadowing, and output

Primary metric: Conversation minutes

Writing

Journaling, corrections, and deliberate practice

Primary metric: Sessions and volume

Habit Formation

Consistency over intensity.

Fluency isn't achieved through occasional weekend cramming. It requires daily, persistent contact with the language. Our activity matrix visualises your daily commitment over a full year, identifying gaps and encouraging long-term streaks.

Methodology

Built on the input hypothesis.

Traditional language education focuses on conscious learning—memorising grammar rules and flashcards. We focus on subconscious acquisition through sustained exposure.

Comprehensible Input

Fluency correlates directly with time spent processing messages you understand. Track your hours of exposure to native media rather than artificial textbook exercises to measure your true trajectory.

Lagging Indicators

Speaking and writing are lagging indicators of language acquisition. By optimising your reading and listening input metrics over thousands of hours, natural output abilities follow effortlessly.

Infrastructure for serious learners.

LinguaTrackr gives you control over your learning data. Log consistently, review honestly, and choose what you share. Free accounts keep full in-app history and analytics; Pro adds bulk export so you can archive or analyse outside the app.

Data portability (Pro)

On Pro, download your full session history as CSV or JSON from the dashboard whenever you need an offline copy or your own tooling. Core logging stays free; export is the paid escape hatch.

Structured logging

Tag each session with activity type, difficulty, and notes. A consistent log structure means your data stays comparable across weeks and months.

Full session history

Every session is stored and editable. Review, correct, or archive entries so your analytics always reflect what you actually did.
Pro analytics

More depth when you need sharper analysis

Core logging stays free. Pro adds deeper diagnostics, scheduled reports, and full CSV/JSON data export—so you can interrogate your immersion routine in detail and keep an independent archive.

Deeper trend diagnostics

Analyse rolling averages and longer windows to see sustained patterns rather than day-to-day noise.

Activity distribution analysis

See exactly how your time splits across listening, reading, speaking, and writing over any time range.

Advanced calendar analytics

Inspect best study times by day of week, seasonal dips, and long-term streak resilience.

Progress reports

Receive scheduled email summaries of your activity, trends, and consistency over the past period.

Goal tracking

Set time-based targets per language and activity type, and track progress against them from your dashboard.

Full data export

Export your complete session history as CSV or JSON for personal archives or custom analysis.

Need deeper reporting for your routine?

Start with free tracking, then upgrade only if advanced analytics and export workflows become useful.

All core features remain free. Pro unlocks deeper analytics, full session export (CSV/JSON), and export controls.

Documentation

Common questions.

Does this replace my language course?

No. It replaces your tracking spreadsheet. LinguaTrackr does not teach you the language — it gives you a structured way to log what you are already doing and review the data over time.

Which languages are supported?

LinguaTrackr is content-agnostic and supports any language. You log exposure time and activity type, not lessons. If you can study it, you can track it.

How do I log a session?

From the dashboard, click New Session. Pick your language, activity type (listening, reading, speaking, or writing), set the duration, and optionally add a difficulty rating and notes. The built-in timer can auto-fill duration if you prefer.

Is the free plan genuinely free?

Yes. Core logging, streaks, goals, and in-app analytics are free with no time limit. Pro adds deeper analytics and full CSV/JSON export of your sessions. You can upgrade or downgrade at any time.

Can I export my data?

Yes, on the Pro plan. From the dashboard Data Export page you can download your complete session history as CSV or JSON at any time. Free accounts still own their data in-app; export is the Pro feature for backups and external analysis.

Who can see my study data?

By default, only you. Your sessions and analytics are tied to your account and are not shown on the public site unless you explicitly enable a public profile. You can adjust profile visibility from your account settings.

What is the XP and level system?

Every logged minute earns 0.2 XP. Levels run from Beginner through to Master and are calibrated against real immersion hour benchmarks. They give you a sense of your total accumulated exposure, not a measure of fluency.

Start tracking your immersion.

Free to use. No credit card required. Your history stays in your account; upgrade to Pro when you want CSV or JSON export.
