Log YouTube videos by link

Paste a YouTube link when logging a session and LinguaTrackr can fill in the video length, title and, where available, a tracked spoken language.

LinguaTrackr

Team

You can now paste a YouTube link when logging a session in LinguaTrackr.

On the add-session form or in Quick Add, choose Add using a YouTube video. This opens a link box.

Paste a normal YouTube link, a YouTube Shorts link, a youtu.be link or a YouTube Music link, then select Use video length.

What LinguaTrackr fills in

Using the video link will:

  • fill in hours and minutes from the video length, with seconds rounded to the nearest minute
  • set the activity to Immersion; you can change this before saving
  • fill in the video title if the title field is empty
  • select the spoken language if you have not already chosen one, YouTube provides it, and it is a language you already track

If those language conditions are not met, your language selection is left unchanged. Watch a lot of videos on YouTube? This feature is perfect for you.
